Who we’re looking for

A Head of Sales to own our sales strategy and customer relationships, lead the sales team, and deliver against our ambitious growth plans.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Commercial Director, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Own the sales forecast and exceed the agreed annual business plan (volume, revenue, GP, GM%)
  • Own the relationships with our customers
  • Lead and develop the high performing sales team to maximise our growth
  • Maintain and sustainably improve our profitability
  • Influence cross-functionally to ensure the team have all they need to excel
  • Report regularly and clearly to the Board on performance and potential

What you’ll bring to the table 

A top-class commercial operative with a demonstrable passion for sales, you’ll have extensive experience, ideally within some/all of UK Grocery, Premium, Branded, Chilled, Food and Drink.  The ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally.  Positive and empathetic, you’ll thrive leading a team. Highly numerate, with the ability to extract and concisely present the key insights from complex data sets.  Curious, with the ability to influence for the very best outcome, at all levels. Comfortable working in a fast moving and agile environment. A love of food.

Requisite experience and skills for this role are:

  • Excellent sales and influencing skills
  • Experience of developing and motivating high performing teams
  • Deep understanding of the UK Grocery market, ideally with premium brands
  • Excel and PowerPoint (data analysis, presentation of insight) skills
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to distil information and drive action
  • Highly motivated, energetic and engaging at all levels
