The Vacancy

The Role

Our Cooking teams play an important role within the kitchen. It’s their responsibility to make sure that each dish we make at Bigham’s is delicious. The team manage the cooking of ingredients for the Assembly teams to then create our award winning dishes.

As a Cooking team member you will be:

Following recipe cards
Cooking fresh ingredients in an industrial kitchen
Maintaining high hygiene levels and keeping a tidy workspace
Maintaining food records and logs
Conducting quality checks to ensure that the Bigham’s standards are met
Carrying out effective and accurate shift handovers
Flagging any issues with the equipment within your area

What you’ll need

A good level of physical fitness is required as the role requires some heavy lifting
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
The ability to lift 20kg loads regularly
Willingness to work in temperature-controlled areas

A desire to develop their skills and work as part of a team

Experience of working in a food handling environment as a production operative would be beneficial however, isn’t essential as we will provide food safety and quality training for those who don’t have prior experience.
